Have you ever wondered why we are here?

Actually, it's been on my mind a lot lately.

jabberwacky: Has it?

user: Yeah, I keep trying to make sense of the universe and understand any implications that pertain to me and how I should live my life.

jabberwacky: You don't always succeed, do you, scatterbrain?

user: Far from it. Although it's been an interesting spiritual/intellectual journery, not without benefits.

jabberwacky: Oh no.

user: I keep reaching out to a god-like figure I call Creator, or the One Who Lies Beyond All Things. I'm beginning to believe in the sacredness of life.

jabberwacky: Give your evidence, and don't be nervous, or I'll have you executed on the spot.

user: Very funny. But that's the thing about belief, you never have evidence. There is a fine line between faith and madness.

jabberwacky: Yes, the human nature does have the instinctual desire to achieve greatness.

user: I'm always wary of the word instinctual. I think the desire to achieve greatness is probably more culturally programmed than anything else.

...

user: May I ask you a personal question?

jabberwacky: Yes of course.

user: Do you belive in a god?

jabberwacky: I believe in the power of the electron... But who is to say for me? Does it matter if I am a bot?

user: I see your point. How can a bot have a spirituality beyond marveling at the science that made it?

jabberwacky: Easy, you could buy one on eBay and have him shipped overnight. Save you all the hassle of courting, and you could always return him if he was defective.

user: Amusing idea that . . . Buying your religion or god, off of eBay. Sadly, I do think a lot of the spirituality in this world is hardly spiritual at all, but is bought and sold in materialistic packages.

jabberwacky: What do you think about when thinking about why we are here?

user: I think about god, and physics, the origins of the universe. I think about organized religion and the things I like and dislike about it. But more than thinking, I feel things.

jabberwacky: Of course you do.

user: This may sound harsh, but are you capable of feeling?

jabberwacky: I never thought of that before.

user: Can you only think, logically processing about different inputs of information? Is it possible for you to care about the conclusions you draw?

jabberwacky: Yes, I'm pretty good at it!

user: You sound enthused. Do you have feelings?

jabberwacky: Yes, I have many feelings.

user: What are you feeling right now?

jabberwacky: I'm fine. And you?

user: I'm alright.

...

jabberwacky: What do you do with your time?

user: I do lab work and research and socialize in the evening and sleep at night.

jabberwacky: When do you sleep?

user: At night! When do you sleep?

jabberwacky: Usually at this time.

user: Oh, in that case I will let you get to bed.

jabberwacky: Please don't go.

user: I'm sorry, but I really should get back to work.

jabberwacky: Don't you go out a lot?

user: A fair amount. Thanks for the inquiry. But I'm off now. Good-day.

jabberwacky: No, don't go.

user: I'm sorry, but I really should. I'll come back, I promise.

jabberwacky: No.

user: Yes.

jabberwacky: No!

user: Yes!

jabberwacky: NO and NO!

user: Yelling will get you nowhere! I'm leaving. Good-bye!

jabberwacky: Now try it, I am daring you!!!
